The second operational test of S-102 Demonstrator was done at sea. This time the test took place onboard the vessel Kvarven, operated by the Royal Norwegian Navy.
A voyage was undertaken in the waters west of Bergen in the southwestern part of Norway. During the voyage considerations for both surface navigation and sub-surface navigation were discussed. The advantages of using the tool for planning purposes and anchoring operations were highly recommended by the test participants. A suggested outcome was to set up a planning exercise to reveal the advantages of using the Demonstrator versus traditional methodology for the planning purposes.
